There’s not much of a radio scene in Vancouver. If you are a fan of talk radio for men in the 18-44 age demographic then there aren’t many choices. Most people use their radio to listen to music as background noise anyways. It’s to drown out the misery of rush-hour traffic. Luckily I was able to stumble across the BJ Shea Experience in Seattle on FM 100.7 a couple of years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. The station was called 100.7 the Buzz of Seattle until it blew up and transformed into a country music format. BJ’s show moved from an afternoon show to the highly competitive and lucrative morning show segment on FM 99.9 KISW the Rock of Seattle. The move was done to replace Howard Stern after he left terrestrial radio for satellite radio (has XM or Sirius even made a penny of profit yet?). The show is now officially called the “BJ Shea Morning Experience” and it is the best damn radio show period!

The Best Morning Radio Show Period!
The show is aired from 6am to 10am every weekday morning. There are 4 guys on the show and they each complement each other really well.

Introducing…
BJ Shea is the host and the oldest of the bunch. He has over 20 years of experience and he brings his opinions and rants to the table. He calls himself an “H-hole” which stands for honest-hole for speaking the honest and brutal truth.
Topshelf is the audio engineer who pushes the buttons for the show. He has a very unique and hilarious laugh that people think is a laugh track but it’s his real laugh. Toppy laughs at everything and is a MySpace whore and Pittsburgh Steelers fan (they suck btw).
Steve The Producer (STP) is the newest member and has been on the show since the move to KISW. I didn’t like him at first but once I heard his contributions to the show and his humor, he’s definitely a valuable member of the show. He’s also known for his “special” relationship with his dog, Lucy. A member of the show which shall remain nameless (BJ) refers to Steve as the Dog F-‘er.
Last but not least is RR (double R) who was the producer of the show before STP came on board. He’s now the Sports Director of the show but brings so much to the show. He’s amazingly funny and his prime objective is to piss off BJ to the point of chaos. The best part of the show is when BJ and RR argue profusely about random topics and at one another.

Listen anywhere in the country, anywhere in the world
Although the show is only broadcast for the Puget Sound Area, you can listen live anywhere in the country, anywhere in the world if you have an internet connection. Just go to KISW dot com and click on the listen-live banner. Also, they have recorded podcasts of the entire four hour show on the homepage. Just give the show a couple of weeks and you will be hooked as well.
