Disgraced sprinter Marion Jones has returned her five medals from the 2000 Sydney Olympics today and all her results from September 1st, 2000 to the present. The five medals include 3 gold and 2 bronze. This casts a very sad shadow for American Track & Field and the entire Olympic Committee. Many questions will be asked as to why tests in 2000 did not catch her back then when the acts were committed. A lot of talk has focused on the use of “designer” steroids that have been altered to conceal detection.
Steroids Does a Body Good:

Punish her where it hurts
It’s fine and dandy that they have stripped Jones’ medals but if you really want to her hurt, get her in her wallet. Nike should really take her to court to recoup their millions that they have paid her to endorse their products. It won’t be for the money for Nike because a few million is nothing to the billions that they earn but it will show the public that they do not condone her actions. Money from victories, appearance, and all endorsement fees should be returned because she cheated. It’s like buying a Lamborborghini that’s powered by a Hyundai engine, once you discovered the misrepresentation, you should demand your money back.
