Looking back at my first post about Gaywheels.com and their top ten most researched vehicles for the period of April - June, 2007, I’ve had some time to think about it now.
Some of the cars totally make sense and should make the list but others I would consider “neutral” and not really a “gay” car.
The Toyota Yaris, Mazda MX-5, VW Jetta, VW EOS, and VW Rabbit are definitely in my books as girl-friendly or gay. I haven’t seen a Saab vehicle licensed in Canada before, I’m not even sure if there’s a Saab dealership but my friend from WA state drives one and it’s a fairly conservative car. I wouldn’t consider it girl-friendly only. The Toyota Camry is definitely not just for gays because it is the cornerstone of the family sedan. It’s a top seller along with the Honda Accord in that vehicle class.
I wouldn’t consider the Infiniti FX either as a gay car because it’s a luxurious SUV that suits all types.
Small = Cute & Cute = Gay so Small = Gay
Based on this logic, the smaller the car, the more girl-friendly it is viewed. The Toyota Yaris is the smallest car on the list which is one reason to justify its number one ranking on the top ten list. The Yaris is also one of the smallest cars in the market along with the Smart car. The Yaris only has 106 hp and that alone would also make it girl-friendly in today’s quest for more ponies and torque.
What do you think?
