I’ve been tagged by Ed Lau to list eight facts about myself.

This is how it works.
• Each player must post these rules first.
• Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
• People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
• At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
• Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
• Credit goes to Christian for this.

1. I became a Canadian citizen on April 7th, the same day as my birthday.

2. I haven’t seen the new Transformer movie yet but I was a huge Transformer fan in the 80s. One Christmas back then, I called every toy store in Vancouver in hopes of finding Omega Supreme. Unfortunately, that was one of my saddest holidays because no store had them in stock.

3. I almost lost an eye during my childhood. I was setting up one of those rocket kits that blasts into the sky and falls back down by parachute. I was crouched on the ground to connect the wires and all of a sudden, the rocket ignites without warning. If I didn’t point it a few degrees away from my face, things would be a lot different today.

4. My max benchpress rep was 300lbs back during my lifting days. I don’t think I could even do 185lbs right now.

5. In my grade three Christmas concert, the teacher wanted me to play Santa Claus because she claimed I had a great smile. A couple of years later, I finally realized that my chubby gut pulled rank over my smile for the role.

6. I still have my Commodore 64 computer system boxed up in my closet. I can’t throw it out because there’s been so many hours of fun times of Summer Games and Katakana.

7. Like most Asian kids, I was forced to play a musical instrument as a kid. Why they picked the organ instead of the piano is still a mystery.

8. My favorite radio show is the BJ Shea Morning Experience on 99.9 FM KISW in Seattle. It’s funny, informative, compelling and most importantly, crude & raunchy. I listen to recorded mp3s of the show throughout the day. I haven’t missed an hour of the show (20 hours a week) since the beginning of 2006.
