With less than 3 hours of sleep for the night which is plenty for the city that never sleeps, the Federer Express whirled through New York city in a blaze post US Open title #4. Everyone in the Big Apple wanted a piece of Roger Federer. He’s known as Darth Federer with his all-black uniform but most importantly, he’s known as the greatest to ever hold a tennis racket. Federer is now 3 Grand Slam victories away from breaking Pete Sampras’ record of 14 Grand Slam victories.

Federer received many congratulatory text message wishes including a few from good friend Tiger Woods. The two have been confiding in one another since meeting last year during the finals of Federer’s third US Open title.

“He was just really happy for me,” Federer said of Tiger. “I said to him, ‘Well done as well.’ He shot a great 63 so I was really happy for him. Winning for both of us on the same weekend is kind of special”

Federer gets two weeks off until September 21st when Switzerland visits Prague, Czech Republic for a Davis Cup World Group play-off tournament. After that weekend, he’s off to Japan on October 1st for another tournament and more titles.
