University supposedly prepares you for the real world but that’s very debatable. I didn’t learn many useful things at university except how to cram like a mofo for exams and projects. The main thing that university helps you with is hoop jumping. Hoop jumping is the crap that people/institutions make you do to achieve your goal. You must force yourself to believe that the ends justify the means. All-nighters are meant for partying and not studying. Unless you are a true nerd, no one likes to overdose on caffeine for the night to memorize tidbits of information for an exam. All the cramming will be forgotten after a few days anyways so it’s one form of hoop jumping that is done to get that common, everyday bachelor’s degree. Case in point, you don’t just get accepted into the Business Faculty, you need to write an essay to justify why you deserve to be admitted so then you can pay them for the next 4-5 years that it takes to earn your degree. If you do all the necessary hoop jumping, then employers do see your desperation for getting a job so they might hire you. Once you land a job, more hoop jumping ensues. The morale of the story to be your own boss so you can make others jump through your hoops.
