		<description>If you still hock the ring after the "service" then it's fine.
As long as you get some money from it, go for it!  And if the ceremonies do give some closure, then that's fine as well.  "Whatever floats your boat."</description>

		<description>I completely disagree.  Why not have a coffin to celebrate/acknowledge the death of a marriage?  After the "service" go hock the ring and get what you can.  It makes a great gift for a dear friend going through a divorce.  Mone was engraved with "Bury the past and move on to a new tomorrow" and that's exactly what I've done.  The $50 I received for my gold ring paid for a nice dinner, but the "burial" was truely an uplifiting moment.</description>
