NBC was once the premiere network channel but they have been suffering in ratings to the other networks, including Fox which everyone used to mock. NBC is now the whipping-boy of network television. When you are on top, you still need to innovate and NBC did not do that. At least they are making some wise decisions with their programming to stay within the pack. I only watched the first 30 minutes of Bionic Woman until I couldn’t take the pain any further. NBC has officially pulled the plug on the show and it’s about time!

You can only live on fumes for so long
NBC was banking on the hit show of the 1970s to get its initial viewership and it worked. The first episode of Bionic Woman had over 14 million viewers but it quickly dwindled from there. By week 8, only 1/3 were still tuning in so it was time to stop the bleeding. UBC students will also rejoice from the cancelling. I used to hate all the commotion and detours from all the filming on campus. Sure, it’s neat and cool in the beginning but it gets annoying after a while.
I’m crossing my fingers that NBC does not kill Journeyman because it’s a pretty good show if you give it a chance.
