“Dude, I got an MBA today” said the scholar. “Wow, congratulations on that achievement, how many job offers do you have lined up?” inquired his friend.
“Strangely, no offers yet but the matchbook ad for my online MBA claimed a high job success rate……..”
All degrees are not the same and ones that are obtained via the online path still does not measure to par with traditional classroom methods. The idea is very sound though, learn on your own pace and still be able to hold down a full-time job. Internet forums provide an arena to communicate with class peers and the instructor and teaching assistants are available for support via email, phone, etc. Tuitions for most undergraduate and graduate programs are not cheap and neither are their online counterpart. Until the next extremely successful entrepreneur comes from an online university, most recruiting people won’t give the time day for job applicants unless they come from an esteemed institution. My feelings on university are pretty clear. Only five to ten percent of the things they make you learn are ever applicable to the real world. The most important aspect of university is mastering the art of hoop jumping and teaching your mind to solve problems. Those two aspects do not translate well with an online university. If you need further proof of why online universities are a joke, Mr. Shaquille O’Neale has an MBA from the University of Phoenix. If you are still not convinced, please click on one of my Google Ads on this page to enroll in one.
